WAVING GOODBYE TO NEVER MIND THE BUZZCOCKS

Prior to him, Mark Lamarr presided over a far more measured tone of sarcasm. But no one cares about that, so let's cut through the first few seasons and jump straight to the best meltdowns, walk-offs and temper tantrums of the Amstell (and post-Amstell) era.

And where else to begin but with Preston from Ordinary Boys, who famously walked off after Amstell recited a passage from his fiancee's biography.

Even regulars like Phil Jupitus have been caught out from time to time, like when he stormed off in a show of fat-solidarity after Dappy mocked a huskier member of one of those lineups.

Mock-rocker Donny Tourette is one of the few guests to have taken on Simon Amstell. But then when your whole life is a gimmick and you look like Hugh Grant's roomie in Notting Hill, you've probably got nothing to lose:

And of course, who can forget the Huey Morgan mug smashing moment. Huey's a man who knows his music, but when he ended up being tested on it by Rizzle Kicks his cup finally runnethed over. So he smashed it on the table.

We’d like to leave you with a more intense Jupitus X Amstell collaboration, which sees them deal with the loss of Bill Bailey (from the show, not the earth). While Buzzcocks has spent the past few years on the wane, this is definitely a clip that exhibits some of its excellent comedy chops.
