YOUR NEW FAVE LABEL: PLZ MAKE IT RUINS

It's a rare and special thing in dance music: that standout record label that appears fully-formed out of nowhere with a distinct what-do-you-call-it sound and a tight-knit crew of breakthrough producers to explore it with. It's the winning formula that made labels like Hessle Audio, Night Slugz and Livity Sound so instantly engaging - and it's happening again, we think, with London-based record label, PLZ Make It Ruinz

Who? The label is headed up by 23-year old Londoner, Joe Thornalley - better known as Vegyn, who writes experimental dance music with a clear pop sensibility. His knack for melody earned him production credits on Frank Ocean's flawless 2016 album, Blond, as well as a co-host spot on Ocean's banging Beats 1 show, blonded RADIO. Other label regulars include Ersatz and Testset, both of whom are also great.

What? Genre-splicing dance music, with splashes of techno, electro, UK funky, grime, trap and whatever else feels good.

Where? London by way of LA, where Vegyn now seems to spend most of his days.

Why? For fans of Hessle Audio, Night Slugz, James Blake.

How? Listen on Soundcloud and buy from Bandcamp.
