In the wake of the recent attacks in Paris and Copenhagen, Benjamin Netanyahu called for Jews to migrate to Israel en masse. Whether or not you think this plea was an overreaction, few can deny that antisemitism is alive in Europe.
In light of these recent events, a journalist called Zvika Klein put on his yarmulke and walked around Paris for 10 hours - in the same fashion as all of those other viral videos. As you can see in the clip, he encounters insults and even spitting. He accompanied the video with an article detailing the day on NRG, an Israeli news outlet.
The clip has its detractors. One prominent argument centres around a role-reversal: Klein admits to walking through Parisian neighbourhoods with largely Muslim populations. Because of this, many wonder if the same would happen if a Muslim walked through a largely Jewish area.
But it's all supposition, as it always is with these experiments. The only thing they offer is a snapshot of a more complex issue, one that can be used to both affirm or detract from a viewpoint.
