8FT LONG PORBEAGLE SHARK CAUGHT OFF THE COAST OF DEVON

Well, this is completely terrifying. A 450lb shark has been caught off our very own coastline.

Angler Graeme Pullen was fishing for pollock less than a mile off the north Devon coast when he hooked this 8ft long porbeagle shark, which was big enough to make Pullen’s 17ft fibre-glass boat spin in circles.

The 62-year-old, who caught the epic encounter on his onboard camera, was able to tag the shark's dorsal fin before releasing it.

It may well be the largest shark single-handedly caught by a fisherman in British waters. Pullen won't give the exact location of the catch for fear of upsetting Devon's tourism industry.
