Inspired by the Grand Canyon's glass skywalk, the Chamonix Skywalk on top of the Aiguille du Midi mountain peak is made from 12mm reinforced glass and was installed 1,035 metres above the valley below, allowing visitors to step out and face their fears. The winds at that height reach up to 136 mph. The skywalk will open to the public on December 21, 2013.
