A NIGHT OUT IN HAMBURG WITH NAZ OSMANOGLU

Anyone who has been to Hamburg will undoubtedly tell you one of three things: it’s home to the world’s largest train set; it boasts an inordinate number of bridges; and it’s a hell of a lot of fun.

I discovered all three of these things for myself on an explosive night out in the city last summer – so it was with blurry eyes and a heavy pang of nostalgia that I watched Captain Morgan’s new ‘On The Town’ feature, in which stand up comedian Naz Osmanoglu links up with a group of Hamburgers for a whistle-stop tour of the city’s prime party hotspots.

First up is Strand Pauli – a riverside beach bar so convincingly tropical that you’d feel right at home drinking spiced mojitos in the middle of February.

After the first round of cocktails, the crew head on to 3-Zimmer Wohnung – a super cosy spot that essentially looks like a front room with a bartender.

The video then follows the gang as they head out on the town, hitting a bar with a bowling ally, a karaoke spot, and finally that crucial end-of-the-night currywurst – with drinks flowing and the crew bellowing “Prost!” (cheers) at every opportunity.

The video serves as a welcome reminder that life's that bit more fun when you don't take things too seriously, and that wherever you are, it's the people you're with that make those special moments.
