Pope Benedict has earned a reputation as something of a trailblazer (well as much of a trailblazer as a Pope can be), so he'd be minded to get a bold new set of wheels like this.
Listed in Dublin, the 2008 Mercedes-Benz has run over 13,000 km and is going for the princely sum of €5,750.
Here's what the seller has to say about it:
'I'm selling a rare Mercedes high top Estate with very nice panoramic back windows.
I imported this car after falling in love with it in Rome 2 years ago (VRT Paid).
Absolute heaven to drive.
It's a very unusual shape and although it feels like a heavy car, it's still very quick with it's powerful 5 Litre v8 engine.
Never gave an ounce of trouble, I've been absolutely blessed with it.
I have lowered it on adjustable shocks all round and fitted a bonnet scoop and front racing splitter.
It has 20" mustang wheels that set me back about €2000 (will sell with car for an extra €1000).
The car is just out of NCT and tax but should pass no bother please God.
Good tyres (about 70% front and back)
There was literally only about 250km on the car when i bought it so i'd say the previous owner had either it lying up in his stable or only used it for going to church.
Divine white leather interior in immaculate conception.
Engine is barely broken in but will do 0-100km/h in about 6 seconds.
I must confess that it's losing a little water but always seems to be topped up for some reason.
Some yoke to go, it's a sin to sell it at all.
Call or Text anytime after 1pm Sundays as i'll be out until then.
