I don't want to be the guy who says something like "what a terrible indictment of this generation", because that's the kind of thing people who are no fun at parties say. But seriously, this video is a pretty terrible indictment of our generation.
At a recent Diamondbacks game in Phoenix, Arizona, a group of sorority girls from nearby ASU sat in the stands and took selfies for the entire game. Luckily, the cameraman found them, meaning announcers Bob Brenly and Steve Berthiaume could rip the piss out of them for our amusement. Choice quotes include “welcome to parenting in 2015” and "that’s the best one of the 300 pictures I’ve taken of myself today!"
However, my favourite moment comes when a player actually hits the ball and gets the first base. None of them look up from their phones.
Good news, commentator Steve Berthiaume managed to source one of the girl's selfies. It's actually a pretty nice photo ladies! :-P
