Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad, has urged superfans to stop lobbing pizza on top of Walter White's house. An elderly couple live there, and they're sick of picking bits of pepperoni out of the tiles and guttering. The bizarre act alludes to a brief scene in the show where Skyler rejects Walter's delicious peace-offering. As he leaves in a rage, he pitches the pizza on to the garage roof. During a Better Caul Saul podcast, Gilligan said:
"We're hearing from the elderly couple who live there, who are two of the nicest people ever, that people are wandering onto her property, being rude to her and throwing pizzas on her roof. Let me tell ya, there is nothing original, funny, or cool about throwing pizzas on the roof. It’s just not funny. It’s been done before. You’re not the first. She's the nicest lady in the world."
The house, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has been a popular destination for fans since the show became a hit. Its owners are happy to have people take photos out front, but roof-tossing pies is a step too far. No matter how big a fan you are, wasting money on an 18 inch pizza is a travesty.
