Senior police figures in Durham, Derbyshire, Dorset and Surrey recently suggested that anyone caught smoking or cultivating cannabis in the counties is likely to be let off with a warning. Why? Because they've got better things to do, thank you very much.
Now, Sara Thornton, who leads the National Police Chiefs’ Council, has told the British press that Cannabis has "never been a top priority", and that any future low-level cannabis farms will probably just be logged in a report - not confiscated. Good news for anyone who likes to get stoney baloney on the reg (sorry).
However, it's terrible news for the officers who enjoy posing next to the greenery, like hunters squating beside a 10-point buck they've just shot in the face. Let's honour these brave men and women with the photos they'll no longer be able to take, in front of the drugs they no longer care about :(
