Writer Steven Bryden, together with a foreword from streetwear overlord Gary Warnett, has put together what may be the first book to 'go in' on the world of the baseball cap. Caps: One Size Fits All explores the many different versions of the cap through history and their evolution from functional wear to fashion statement. Filled with a ton of great interviews, including Aaron Bondaroff of Supreme and London BAPE store owner Craig Ford, the book offers a unique, in-depth look at the world of caps, including a look at the design and construction of caps as well as the incredible array of brands and types: from baseball to five-panel, painter's cap to the Pittsburgh pillbox, Ralph Lauren to Stussy.
The book also peers into the closets of avid collectors, tracks the cap’s journey through pop culture history, and includes street style photos showcasing how people are wearing caps around the world today.
Steven Bryden is a respected authority on streetwear and has worked as a trend forecaster and marketing consultant for brands including Nike, New Balance, Adidas and Foot Patrol. He co- founded Crooked Tongues, the online store for men’s sneakers, in 2000 and five years later co- authored the book Sneakers: The Complete Collector’s Guide, so it's fair to say he knows his stuff.
