Comedian, polyglot, marathon fiend and all-around renaissance man Eddie Izzard will be performing a one-off show later this month to benefit Shelter. The Stand Up For Shelter event will see Izzard perform a 45 minute set, with support from comedians Josh Widdicombe, Rob Beckett and Sara Pascoe, to raise money for the housing and homelessness charity.
This is a truly great cause. 93,000 children are homeless in Britain today, with many families forced to live in one room of a hostel or B&B. By buying a ticket, you're not only guaranteed laughs from some comedy heavyweights, but you'll also be doing your bit to help those in really difficult circumstances.
Stand up for Shelter is on Wednesday 25 February 2015 at the Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith in London. To buy your tickets, head to the Shelter website.
