FIRST MARIJUANA COMMERCIAL DEBUTS ON MAJOR NETWORK

A company called Marijuana Doctors, which puts medical marijuana patients in touch with doctors who can prescribe the drug, is airing what it says is the “first ever marijuana commercial on a ‘Major Network.’” The ad, which “draws a parallel between a ‘shady’ street dealer attempting to push ‘unsafe’ sushi to unsuspecting buyers, and medical marijuana patients being forced to obtain their medication in a similar fashion,” is showing in New Jersey - where medical marijuana is legal - on several national networks including A&E, Fox, CNN, Comedy Central, Food Network and the History Channel.
