But after stumbling on the site Movie Triggers, I'm starting to feel that maybe there are large portions of society that really do spend far too much time re-blogging tumblr posts about a pet rabbit's preferred pronouns, or - put simply - taking things way too srsly.
For example, the site makes Bambi sound like the animated version of Elliot Rodger's manifesto:
Bambi's mum dying was really traumatic tbh :'(
I haven't seen How To Train Your Dragon so I will give Movie Triggers the benefit of the doubt. Maybe seeing a cartoon dragon losing its limb can trigger brutal memories of your tail falling off at the Bronie convention.
Toy Story 3 certainly had a good enough plot to provoke major feels in most of us, but I don't remember any interspecies romance. My mate traumatised me at secondary school during maths when he showed me that vid of a horse making sex to a woman, but I don't remember focusing on that when I watched Woody and co. Not even once.
I'll let the comment section for Frozen do the talking:
PRETTY STRONG POINTS.
But I have to say, The Lion King really takes the cake. Just think, there's a site out there that lists Simba and his pals in the same category as Schindler's List.
