JEREMY CORBYN TROLLS THERESA MAY DURING FACEBOOK LIVE Q&A

Despite her keenness to avoid any type of meaningful scrutiny in the current general election, today prime minister Theresa May took part in a question and answer session hosted by ITV News' Robert Peston on Facebook Live. There wasn't a huge audience - a little over 14,000 viewers - but at times the screen was flooded with angry face emojis as May took questions from the public.

However, midway through the broadcast, Peston read out a query from a certain 'Jeremy Corbyn of Islington'; Corbyn proceeded to criticise May for tax cuts for the rich, low house building levels, reduced police numbers and the state of the NHS, before challenging her reticence to publicly debate. May gave a non-answer, ignoring Corbyn's points and stating her preference to receive questions from voters.

As the election rolls on, hopefully May can be confronted by pressing issues and subjected to much needed scrutiny- even if it entails Corbyn-style trolling on Facebook...
