KATIE HOPKINS CALLS FOR "FINAL SOLUTION" FOLLOWING MANCHESTER TERROR ATTACK

After last night's terrorist attack in Manchester Arena, where at least 22 people were killed in a bomb blast, Katie Hopkins commented on the situation with:

'Schofield' is a reference to TV presenter Phillip Schofield, who marched over Westminister Bridge after it was hit by a terrorist attack in March. However, more sinisterly, Hopkins calls for a 'final solution', a phrase which was used by the Nazis to refer to the genocide of Jewish people during World War II.

This isn't the first time Hopkins has utilised such loaded language; in 2015, UN human rights head Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein sharply criticised the Sun for publishing a Hopkins column where she referred to migrants as 'cockroaches', a term which evoked the Nazis and the Rwandan genocide.

Hopkins later deleted the tweet, posted at 7.43AM, and wrote out a new one:

However, Hopkins' original Tweet has led to Twitter users reporting her comment to the site and the police and calls for her sacking from her LBC radio show. As bad as this incident has been, Hopkins should be challenged over what her 'solution' would be and her employers should be scrutinised for retaining her services. Until then, Hopkins' corrosive views will continue to poison public discussion.
