Today marks 22 years since Nirvana rocker Kurt Cobain committed suicide in his Seattle home. Already an important figure in 90s pop culture as grunge music's poster boy, Cobain's stature has only grown; his band's influence resonates across contemporary rock music, while interest in Cobain's personal life - his early death (part of the infamous 27 club), tormented relationship with wife Courtney Love and drug addiction - has manifested in innumerable books, documentaries, articles and much more.
Recently photographer Geoff Moore held an exhibition in LA where he presented shots of Cobain's personal effects taken in 2007. They include a heart-shaped box (as Cobain once sung about), his trademark Convese trainers and a guitar.
While last month, to denounce allegations that they'd destroyed it, Seattle police publicised the gun Cobain used to commit suicide.
It all gets a bit heavy. Here's Cobain and co doing what they did best. RIP.
