Land Rover has revealed the world’s first transparent hood (bonnet, to us Englishmen!) concept, which allows for a new level of driver awareness by featuring a “see-through” augmented reality view of the terrain ahead, this makes the front of the car appear invisible from inside the car. It works using cameras below the front of the vehicle in order to project the upcoming terrain onto the smart windscreen’s heads-up display, giving the driver a clearer view of what is up ahead. We truly do live in the future, don't we?
