On 1 August 2015, Surf Snowdonia will open in Wales. It will feature a 150 metre long 'Wave Garden' that will pump out 60 perfect waves in an hour ranging from 0.7 to 2m high. Each surfer will be allocated a number of waves and turns will be taken so no one smashes into each other. In short, it will be the perfect place to learn to shred.
HOWEVER, you will miss out on all the joys that learning to surf IRL offers. Like being yelled at by other surfers, manoeuvring a board in powerful currents and thinking you're going to drown, or being crushed onto the sand by an ugly shorebreak.
Anyways, here's Dane Reynolds and some other pros ripping on another Wave Garden in Europe.
