The first Make Sunday Special will take place on Sunday, 4th May from 11am – 5pm in Old City (within the existing weekend road closure areas of Corn Street and Small Street). To launch the 2014 season the first event will also feature Park Street, with Bristol based artist Luke Jerram creating a Park and Slide waterslide (subject to safety approval), and will be in conjunction with other Bristol key events such as the first Bristol Food Connections Festival and the Bristol Art Weekender.

All MSS dates for 2014:
4th May
1st June
6th July
3rd August
7th September

The MSS team would like to get as many businesses as possible involved. There are lots of ways in which your business can benefit from the events, such as spilling out into the street with tables and chairs, demonstrating your business skills – from cooking to hairdressing, programming performers, providing children and family activities, or special offers for the day.

Even if your business is not directly located on the closed streets, you can “take it” there by renting a stall or bringing activity/programming to the area.

If you are interested in participating, please see the attached information letter and let MSS coordinator Shilpa Pius in the City Council know as soon as possible, by latest 25th April (tel. 0117 903 6488, email Shilpa will be able to provide you with advice on how to take part.
