Mother Clucker

Don’t get me wrong, there is a time and a place for such meal, 3.17am on a Saturday morning, for instance. But if, like me, you are a fan of fried chicken and want to eat some when you’re not pissed, there now is a solution. The solution comes in the form of Mother Clucker, the fantastically named chicken joint which operates out of a modified American Army Ambulance. What more could you need?

The menu is always changing but kept simple; the batter is made with a secret old Louisiana recipe, the chicken is all organic and free range and the chips are one of the best things you can eat, sprinkled with a selection of spices that will blow your mind. The homemade hot sauce is a taste sensation, not too spicy but will certainly give you a little kick in the nuts if you’re not so good with hot sauces. Currently on the menu is a Cluckwich (pictured above), fries and chicken strips. Like I said, very simple but damn tasty. Mother Clucker are currently based at The Truman Building on Brick Lane, get down there for your motherclucking chicken fix.

Current Menu:

Meal Deal: Cluckwich, fries & a drink - £7

Cluckwich with lime mayo, hot sauce and peppers: £6

Strips – crispy boneless strips with hot sauce and mayo: £4

Sides: Fried: £1.50 Drinks: £1.00 (Ginger Beer, Coca Cola, Ting etc.)
