The brains behind Pokemon are releasing a new app/phone game/augmented reality thing - I really don't know - that will let you hunt Pokemon as you go about your regular day. Imagine: There you are, waiting for the 0842 to London Bridge when a fuck off great Charizard appears on the other platform. Sure, the other commuters may look at you funny when you lob a virtual Pokeball, but you'll have the last laugh when your new fire lizard is burning them to death (virtually).
From my understanding, the game is an augmented reality feature for your phone, which tracks your movements via GPS and causes the critters to appear in the most appropriate place. IE Squirtle might show up near a pond, or something. Check out the preview below:
All I know is that the lines between the virtual and the real are becoming even more blurred and, quite frankly, I'm terrified.
