From the £350 million a week for the NHS to the promise of access to the single market, the amount of wild claims the Brexit campaign expressed almost makes you think they're nothing more than a cabal of power-hungry charlatans (which isn't to say Remain was perfect, but more that they advocated national, economic and social self harm through spending cuts instead of fuck-the-market, screw-the-migrants suicide).
During a debate today in the European parliament, Remain-supporting Labour MEP Seb Dance expressed his frustration - and that of many - at Nigel Farage with a sign reading 'He's lying to you'. Sort of like an 'I'm with stupid!' t-shirt but aimed at a bigot. Dance objected to Farage's 'nationalist and populist message' and was annoyed that his three minute statement, about Donald Trump's immigration ban, was going unchallenged. A complaint has been filed against Dance. Here's how it played out:
