OLYMPICS OPENING CEREMONIES FROM 1908 TO THE PRESENT DAY

The video charts the Olympics opening ceremonies over decades, from the fourth edition in London in 1908 to the same city's spectacular show in 2012, ahead of tonight's Rio opener. It's interesting to see the changes made, such as the reintroduction of the flame in 1928's Amsterdam event, but the basic themes of unity and fair play remain consistent (even in Berlin circa 1936...)

For what it's worth, I went to the 2012 Paralympics opener and it was trippy man. Here's a pic I took:
