If you're of a certain age, you'll remember a more innocent time when aggrieved, costumed dads would scale tall public buildings, unveil banners and be a general nuisance until they we're shooed away into the arms of the police. Fathers4Justice, the protest group which was somewhere betwen a campaign on a serious issue - access rights for divorced fathers - and a national joke; it was quite simply, sorry to revive a dead joke, the most yer da thing possible.
They're possibly still active - who knows what yer da gets up to on his spare time? - but it's good that Greenpeace has picked up the protest baton and made it more American; bigger, brasher, blunter. Members from the environmental group recently scaled a crane in Washington D.C. and presented a banner urging people to 'resist' Donald Trump's toxic ideas, whether it's the environmentally unfriendly renewal of proposed oil pipelines or prejudiced statements and actions.
