SIX GRAPHICS THAT EXPLAIN CLIMATE CHANGE, RE-CREATED IN MS PAINT

So the big lump of politics dumped on our desks this morning is that America has withdrawn from the Paris climate deal. For those who don't know, the Paris agreement outlines a global effort to cut greenhouse gas emissions in a bid to slow climate change. Unsurprisingly, Trump thought this made him look like a bit of a pussy, so swung his big dick right outta there - bringing America and quite probably the future of our planet crashing along with it.

Reading up on events this morning, I was impressed to see that the BBC had produced a sweet series of graphics that neatly illustrated the facts about global warming in six simple visuals. So I thought - hey, why can't Don't Panic do something like that? Is it not our duty to educate as well as to entertain?

So I set about plagiarising it for you guys - painstakingly recreating each visual in MS Paint to ensure that we don't get sued. So read on - you just might bloody learn something.

1. What is the problem?

The world is getting warmer

2. Why is this happening?

Answer: greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide

3. What are the effects?

Arctic sea ice melt

4. What does the future hold?

Higher temperatures and more extreme weather

(This one was really hard to do so I just drew Earth in a microwave)

World’s top ten greenhouse gas emitters

6. Limiting the damage

Don't Panic attempt to credit photographers and content owners wherever possible, however due to the sheer size and nature of the internet this is sometimes impractical or impossible. If you see any images on our site which you believe belong to yourself or another and we have incorrectly used it please let us know at panic@dontpaniconline.com and we will respond asap.
