Close to this time last year, Hollywood actress Amber Heard travelled to Australia to visit her partner, Johnny Depp, as he filmed the umpteenth Pirates of the Caribbean instalment. Accompanying her in the private jet were her Yorkshire terriers, Boo and Pistol; when they arrived at Australian immigration, Heard stated that she had not brought contraband - i.e. plant materials, some foods... live animals - into the country.
However, she had and was later exposed as having done so by a Tweeted picture from a grooming parlour. Anyhow, a bunch of legal stuff unfolded and Heard and Depp are pretty much off the hook, justice prevails, right? In any case, this strange video was released in which the pair promote Austalian biosecurity; but it raises a few intiguing points too...
*Why's Depp dressed like he's about to order a 'mook' to get 'iced'?
*Why's Depp looking like a face-swap from off-screen?
*Why's Depp dressed like a Stringfellows bouncer?
*'Declare everything', Johnny? Even that you starred in The Lone Ranger?
*Did or did not the pair give this much of a shit about Australian biosecurity since before they got in trouble? Could've been a fashionable Hollywood awareness cause after all.
*Why're the dogs named in such a away that, when their names are shouted in unison (as can happen when you own dogs), it sounds like a surprise threat? Takes guts to risk it at an airport in particular.
*Why didn't they just disguise the pups as sniffer dogs?
*How, when you can't even get a lil' bag of smack through customs, did Heard think you could get away with dogs?
*What's up with Heard's final head turn? Is it sheer surprise that Depp is turning in a good performance in the 2010s?
*Why are Depp and Heard sharing one pair of earrings?
