Sam Simon died in March after battling cancer. The writer, producer, and director was best known as the co-creator of The Simpsons, where he penned some of the show's earlier - and best - seasons. Following his death all reports said he would be leaving his fortune to charity. On top of this, the Simon estate is auctioning his vast collection of Simpsons stuff (and his art collection) at Sotheby's, with proceeds going to his own charitable foundation.
"The Creative Genius of Sam Simon: A Lifetime of Memorabilia" contains 278 lots including Simon's personal sketches, odd scribbles, ultra-rare animation cels, loads of boxing memorabilia, and a whole bunch of other stuff that you can check out on the Sotheby's website.
