'I always eat free range food', 'I only buy meat from the butchers'. Great, same. And that's how I ease my conscious too.
But, more could be done and frankly, free range or not, you don't really know what kind of life that chicken had.
This is no lecture though,it just happens that I have found a company who are currently running a campaign to bring change to the way we farm, and the great news is, you can support it with very minimal effort. Here's how:
Dr. Bronner’s is the top selling organic soap brand in the USA, making natural, organic products they are dedicated to fair trade and organic integrity, using their profile to support good causes and charities all around the world. They are a pioneering brand that understands the responsibility that comes with their status and they pushing to make a difference.
Their current campaign supports Compassion in World farming, Europe’s leading farm animal welfare organisation and it does so by giving 20p of the sale every soap you purchase to Compassion in World Farming which in turn goes towards improving the lives of farm animals.
Great right? All you need to do is switch up your bath products. Next time you run out of shampoos or soaps, hit up http://www.drbronner.co.uk
and I promise you, not only is this stuff better for YOU but also the animals. Support campaigns like this one and more companies might be forced to start braving up to their responsibilities.
