At a recent Jeremy Corbyn rally in Nuneaton, the intrepid Channel 4 News reporter Michael Crick spotted a Conservative party press officer in the crowd. When he confronted the Tory staffer, otherwise known as Mike Watkinson, he fled without saying a word. True to form, Crick chased him and hit him with the quickness until Mike climbed in his car.
“Why are you walking out?” Crick asked. “Were you sent here by the Conservative party? Have you come to gather intelligence? Were you sent here by Conservative headquarters? You do seem to be leaving this meeting rather rapidly.”
I'm assuming Mike is fairly new to this game, because he really should've just stayed in his seat and reiterated the public nature of the rally.
