If you're the sort of movie buff who's seen the collected works of Fellini, but can also relish the stomach-turning absurdity of films like The Room, then you need to indulge your eclectic tastes at The 2014 BFI London Film Festival.

The excellent event ‎returns this October with another unbeatable lineup of cinematic treats. There’ll be 248 films screened at 17 venues over a period of 12 days, so whether you want to see Party Girl or Pasolini, Fury or Wild Life, there's sure to be something for you.

If you want to watch some new releases before anyone else, or a chance to re-visit a few classics, then the LFF is not to be missed. From red carpet gala premieres to first time features from up and coming young directors; short film programmes to archive presentations, the LFF is going to bring the best of international cinema to London. Skip the blockbusters, it's time to educate yourself of something new.

With introductions and Q&As with the filmmaking talent at many screenings, the Festival is an unrivalled opportunity to discover new films and hear from the people who made them happen.

The 2014 BFI London Film Festival ‎in partnership with American Express® runs from 8 - 19 October at venues across London. For more info check out the website.
