THE RHYTHM METHOD RELEASES THE GENERAL ELECTION'S DEFINITIVE POSTER

The Rhythm Method are one of the more interesting UK music prospects at the minute; the South West London-originated duo embrace 70s and 90s pop culture, heartfelt lyricism and a desire for huge success, in contrast to the insincerity and muted ambition of cool acts. Celebrity fans include Elton John and Mike Skinner, who has produced a tune for the band. Their carefree expression of their influences is matched by their plainspokenness; vocalist Joey Bradbury has spoken of his desire to be a kind of Rod Stewart figure and they've openly dismissed ponderous musicians like Thom Yorke. The band's political views are unvarnished too:

To mark the general election on 8th June, the Rhythm Method has released a poster of their de facto slogan; 'If you voted Tory you're a nonce'. They've described it as 'a purposefully provocative poster made to get the youth on side with our tongue firmly in our cheek', while we think it sums up contemporary UK politics perfectly.
