I was just bumbling through Kickstarter when I came across Prynt. It's a smartphone case that prints photos taken on your phone; and unlike the vast majority of phone accessories, it looks like something people would actually use.
Granted, the photos are no bigger than your average passport picture, but looking on the bright side, that does make them easily shareable and conducive to decorating your fridge with all those cherished memories. Better still, you don't need any wi-fi or bluetooth, and all the ink needed to realise the hardcopy is contained in the blank photo.
I hear you say; 'but wait, this is just an overhyped Polaroid with smaller pics', and you'd be right. But check this out:
That's right. There's some sort of augmented reality that turns the picture into a GIF when you look at it through your phone. The app records a brief video before it takes the shot, and a bit of mind-bending tech in the paper means this happens. Freaky.
