It's really amazing to think that this is only the second craziest story to emerge from Waco, Texas, but when a town is best known for the calamitous mishandling of a dangerous religious cult, that's just how it goes. Yesterday, a huge brawl broke out between rival biker gangs at a diner in Waco.
All reports are saying that the gangs conducted a war of increasing brutality, beginning with fists, then graduating to chains and knives, before finishing each other off with guns. At the latest count, nine people are dead (all gang members), 20 or so are injured, and the police say they have recovered over 100 weapons. As if this bloodbath doesn't brew up enough notions of American horror, it took place at a diner called Twin Peaks.
The fight allegedly broke out due to a disagreement over a parking space. If there's one thing you can say about Bikers, it's that their aim is true. No bystanders were harmed in the melee, and in true Texas style, the Sheriff leading the investigation pinned that miracle on the blessed Sunday on which the fight occured.
