'Irons In The Fire' - the first ever 3D social documentary, narrated by the mighty Idris Elia no less - tells the stories of five young people who have discovered a passion that is transforming their lives. These include Ben who, whilst in prison, enrolled on a cooking apprenticeship that changed his world, and 17 year old Ashley Facey-Thompson: a troubled teenager with Erbs-Palsy, who learned to play table tennis competitively and is now ranked in the top 20 in the world.
During the film you get to step into the worlds of these young people, see the organizations that inspired them and experience their pain and joy as they follow their passion. We take a look at how opportunity has changed their lives, and increasingly, the world around them.
Sky Arts and Sky 3D are going to 'simulcast' 2D+3D on June 11th at 18:30 and June 14th 17:00, then on VOD.
