Programmes like Making A Murderer and Serial have recently reawakened the public's appetite for true crime stories, as controversial cases are looked at and viewers can have their say over social media. There's even speculation that some cases could be re-examined in court.
Unsolved is a part of this new wave; journalists Branagh Munro and Alys Harte investigate the mysterious disappearance of teenager Damien Nettles on the Isle of Wight twenty years ago. Some theories are examined - did Nettles drown? Did he run away? - before a picture emerges of a local illegal drug scene Damien could've been involved in. Add in police incompetence, wary witnesses and the passage of time, you're left with no clearer situation other than the grief of Damien's friends and family.
