It’s highly recommended that you spend 10 minutes of your day watching this documentary from technology art and science website, The Verge.

They’ve created a short offering a unique look at the inner workings of Nuance Communications – the company responsible for creating Siri’s voice on iOS.

The documentary charts the history of voice synthesisation from its origins in cars like the Chrysler in New Yorker in 1983 right through to products such as the iPhone.

The film also features voiceover talent Allison Dufty, who is a total treat on the ears.
