WORLD'S FIRST 3D PRINTED SKATEBOARD

Once again, 3D printing’s being all mind-blowing and stuff.

Dutch artist Sam Abbott and Nick Allen of 3DPrintUK have only gone and built the world’s first 3D printed skateboard.

Despite the piece being built for structural purposes, the deck is cruise friendly and fully functional on this level. The completed project features a textured pattern depicting abstract faces and is composed of three separate 3D pieces, conjoined by glue and connector pins, along with all the usual setup such as trucks, bearings, wheels and griptape.

Sadly it’s not yet ollie proof, but how’s that for an exciting design concept?
